According to Techfundingnews, London-based AI recruitment platform Ethos has completed a $22.75 million Series A funding round, led by a16z with participation from General Catalyst.

Ethos uses AI to interview candidates and analyze their academic papers, code, and other professional content to build detailed skill profiles. The platform then matches experts with paid opportunities, including expert consulting, market research, AI data annotation, advisory services, and full-time jobs.

James Lo, co-founder and CEO of Ethos, stated, "Resumes do not accurately reflect a person's abilities. Ethos aims to help people showcase their complete professional capabilities in an AI-redefined economy and assist companies in finding the talent they truly need more precisely." Ethos aims to address the issues of rampant fake or AI-generated resumes and the difficulty in verifying candidates' true abilities.
